Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• This role will also be responsible for implementation of automated test execution in a continuous integration agile environment. Responsibilities include advanced test methods and techniques, improve test design and execution, and expand ongoing automation efforts with total focus on product quality and regulatory compliance
• System and problem analysis associated with complex applications development and test automation development activities throughout the SLDC lifecycle. Constructs automated test scenarios, cases and scripts, ensuring that requirement coverage is adequate and business requirements functional specifications and designs are linked to test artefacts. Design automated solutions for middleware applications to validate Soap/REST/XML/JSON messages
• Design automated solutions to validate messaging communication using web services/MQ/Kafka. Responsible for continuous process improvement resulting in improved time to market and test efficiencies. This role provides a unique opportunity to ensure the quality while meeting corporate information technology, security and compliance policies and procedures

Qualification/experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 10 years’ experience with designing, planning and execution of system testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality at all stages of the system life cycle and with leading, building and managing effective teams
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience with Selenium
• Experience coding in one or more object-oriented programming language
• Knowledge of financial services industry
• Knowledge of banking practices, regulations and operations within assigned line(s) of business
